Amazon is ending support for older Kindles and Kindle Fires

Amazon will cease support for Kindle e-readers and Kindle Fire devices released in 2012 and earlier starting May 20, 2026. Affected users will retain access to previously downloaded content but will lose the ability to purchase or download new content. Devices that are deregistered or factory reset post-deadline cannot be re-registered.
